![]() ![]() I’ve seen the 5k Iiyama ProLite but due to the lack of reviews, I'm not prepared to take the risk. Too much cost and trouble and no idea if it would even work at the end. So, this option is expensive and time consuming and has all types of complications with Nvidia cards from what I've read in the forums. I know there is the option of buying the Alpine card (more cost) with gives you a thunderbolt 3 port but supposedly it doesn’t allow you to control the monitor settings and let you use the speakers, audio etc. Therefore, I would need to buy a new one and re-build my PC. It’s expensive (around £1000), but more importantly I don’t have a thunderbolt 3 port in my motherboard to connect it to. GA-Z170X-Gaming 3 (no thunderbolt 3 port) Apparently, I need a 5k monitor so that I can set the screen to 1440p hidpi (2880/2). I’ve tried lots of tweaks but I found that ultimately my 27” 1440p is too small a resolution to display at ‘retina’ quality without everything look large. The issue is the blurry fonts and icons in Mac OS, more so the former when compared to my previously owned MacBook Pro 13” 2015. I had Windows 10 on a 512gb SSD for just over a year and then added MAC OS X High Sierra on a 128GB SSD a few weeks ago and can now easily switch between both OS.
